For 1.8T quattro 5/6 speed and Tiptronic at this time only. Manual transmission system is a catback design, Tiptronic is a midpipe back design and reuses the stock downpipe.
We spent considerable time examining how to maximize the performance and options of this exhaust system. The AWE Tuning exhaust boasts features you will not find on any other system on the market, ensuring unmatched power, fitment, and sound levels.
Each system is mandrel bent T304 stainless steel, and the manual transmission model is a full catalytic converter back design. Since the catalytic converter resides in the engine bay with the A4 1.8T, an exhaust system is only considered a catalytic converter back design if the downpipe that comes off the catalytic converter is also part of the system. Not only does our manual transmission system include a downpipe, but it is a whopping 2.5" in diameter, guaranteeing maximum flow even with big turbo kits.
The AWE Tuning exhaust makes the stock system look puny in every way. For the manual transmission system, the downpipe is 2.5" vs 2.125" for stock. On both manual and Tip transmission systems our midpipe is 3.00" vs 2.25" for stock, and our rear section tubing is 2.25" vs a tiny 1.75" for stock. Our straight through resonators and mufflers ensure flow while keeping the noise level down to civilized volume. There is no drone with this system!
Our signature 3.5" beveled exhaust tips sport laser etched AWE Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure a mirror polish even under hard usage. Both tips are individually adjustable, too, to provide for perfect fitment even with European and aftermarket bumpers.
